Looking Forward to 2017
/What better way to look forward to the new year than by sharing our 2016 year with you in a quick snap shot.
Under water robotics
We continue to work in the underwater robotics space. This is a great industry and we really enjoy the work. Sleeves rolled up, our hands are dirty and the CAD electrons are flying as we complete concepts that we develop, perform engineering analysis on and create engineering drawing packages to have stuff built. We work with outside vendors on prototypes and manufacturing. Very involved in the drawing package maintenance and ECN control process. Another industry we enjoy is lighting and we have a new client this year, after 75 years in business they are still going strong and we are working with them on new product development efforts in the LED space. We continue to work with a pulmonary medical device company on new products!
Working with several start ups this year.
We worked with a great team this year on a Therapeutic and athletic garment. This industry is on fire and we developed the product right from concept(s) to proof of concept prototype and then introductions to potential manufactures for the garment.
We also worked closely with a young start up on a a high tech set of crutches for the medical markets. Another cool startup we are working with on a product for the auto accessory after market industry. Also worked on several products for the haberdashery and hairdressing accessory industry.
We have created a long term collaboration with another inventor in the painting industry and hope to put a mark on this industry with new innovative products.
Accessory Products
We are always working on accessory products in the dog jewelry space for the Zelda Song brand and also on accessory products for our DesignWorks Studio brand. This item was a great seller for Christmas.
Other Stuff of interest
This year we created a new affiliation with The Center of innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE) in Fall River where we have a virtual office space, access to there conference rooms and prototype facility, very strategic move for us.
And, the last bit of news is a new piece of equipment recently purchased, the BOXZY 3-D printing, CNC machining, Laser engraving system, very exciting for us.
I continue to teach evening engineering & CAD classes at BCC in Fall River and recently started creating curriculum as well as teaching classes for BCC / MASSMEP training initiative.
Looking forward to 2017, please let us know if there is any way we can assist you in your new product development efforts.
