/Sakonnet DesignWorks Inc. supported Amphenol Alden on creating medical interconnect solutions
Sakonnet DesignWorks, Inc. is a product design and development company for medical, consumer, lighting and industrial products, has supported Amphenol Alden on cross-functional teams to develop advanced connector systems.
When we engaged with Amphenol Alden they were working in a multi segmented market and worked with small and big companies. They needed help with the front end, assist sales in coming up with solutions to there customers technical needs in the medical device space. This allowed the staff engineers to work on projects going into production and there day to day issues. Without adding any more technical staff they used our capabilities frequently to work with there teams to review and implement many more requests for quotes than they could have done without adding costly overhead. We interacted with their customers and internal engineers in a highly collaborative nature managing projects from concept to pre-production. We were involved in:
- Project management/engineering
- 3-D solid modeling & drawings in CAD especially SolidWorks
- Tolerance studies of complex assemblies
- Design for manufacturing of insert over-molded injection molded products
It is nice to know that there growth was in part because of our efforts!
