Stephanie, my daughter in-law, a professional painter and owner of Pro-Image painting collaborated with Sakonnet DesignWorks to develop a tool to wash paintbrushes seamlessly!

Problem

As you can imagine, Steph has to clean a lot of paint brushes. Like all painters they use a 5 gallon bucket of water or sink with a comb. This takes time.

Background

The idea was born a few years ago where Steph approached me with an idea she had to make her life easier when it came time to clean paint brushes. I did a little research and informed her that there wasn't a product on the market so Stephanie with our assistance invented one. So much thought and time went into the details of the Brush Wash. Besides cost, there also has to be practicality and function! Specially designed to be a fast, easy way to clean paint brushes, and save time, water, and money! We were able to prototype on our 3-D printer before using more expensive prototyping methods, Steph was able to use prototypes and some rugged aluminum models to test units in the field before we completed the final design to be made of a durable, heavy duty plastic, it's lightweight and easy to store and it is manufactured in the USA.
