From Ideation to Design!

I have had some free time lately, so I have been brushing up on up front design.

Before you can deliver (to execute) you must develop (to realize).
But before you can develop you must design (to render or outline).

Within design there is ideation! The reason to ideate is to generate many concepts as rapidly as possible. Even though ideas can be carried out by an individual, creating ideas is often best done in groups. The trick is to just create and keep doing so for an extended period of time. You can worry about what works and what doesn’t later. Ideation is one of the most fun things a designer/engineer can do but it can also be frustrating if you try and do it by yourself.

The second article is more about process and tools. The tools and methods in this phase vary based on the type of the final outcome which can be either a product or service. Also, they vary based on the design process needs between brainstorming and evaluation tools. I am a more go by the gut kind of guy, but to each is own. Still a good article!
